Alice Healy

I discovered my love for watercolor through Chinese brush painting classes while living in Singapore. It was the beginning of a life long journey of exploration and growth.

As a perpetual student, I have experimented with many mediums, and always return to watercolor. Since retiring from WWU as the Communication Sciences and Disorders Academic Department Manager, I finally have time to paint.

I love the beauty of the Northwest. The wildlife, Puget Sound, the Olympic Peninsular, and especially Sudden Valley (where I live in Bellingham) inspire me. I tend to work in phases – – from Northwest scenes, scenes, squirrels, trees, flowers, and barns. I am also exploring portrait painting. I have had several pet commissions, and am excited to do more.
