I am a watercolor artist residing in Bellingham, Washington.

I have always felt drawn to art in its many forms. During my career as educator, I was able to incorporate art into many areas of my life and classroom taking varied art classes in my spare time.

After retiring, I was introduced to watercolor by a friend. I was hooked and began serious study with many prominent Northwest art teachers, internationally known teachers and through reading coupled with practice, practice, practice. I continue to study and experiment with the unending, fascinating techniques of watercolor in order to more fully develop my own style and voice.

Watercolor- it’s alive!! The more I can allow it to move, mingle, and flow on its own, the better painter I become. Each work is a puzzle and a challenge. What can I bring to life? My continual goal is to create work that is fresh, filled with light and full of personality.

I am an active member of the Whatcom Art Guild. I headed up many committees and served as President in 2011. I sell originals, fine art prints and cards at my Bay Street Village Studio, Bay To Baker in Fairhaven and at shows, venues and festivals in the area. I have won prizes tor my artwork at the “Art by The Lake” show and at the N.W. Wash. fair.
