I love color, movement and texture! Fiber arts, especially quilting, is my joy. I began garment sewing in sixth grade and was inspired by my mother’s creative spirit. She modeled trying new things, experimentation and enjoyed making things beautiful. We’re alike in many ways…
I create small, handmade items, larger fabric installations, and quilted projects. Years of sitting at my kids’ soccer games, riding lessons, and cross country meets provided moments in time to stitch away. At this phase of my life, I’m making space for deeper exploration of my creativity and enjoy the contemplative nature of art through hand and machine stitching and fabric collage.
Beautiful fabric can create a sense of peace, joy or excitement. A little scrap of fabric offers so much potential! I always have a project on hand because, why not? There is so much waiting to come forth. Sharing in this process with others is deeply satisfying. So much wisdom to be found at a sewing circle!
