Judy Bishop
Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Judy Bishop has been a resident of Bellingham, Washington for the past 25 years. With a Doctorate in Education, she retired from a 40 year teaching and administration career in Michigan, El Salvador, Kuwait, China and Washington.
One of Judy’s earliest memories is coloring at her Dutch grandmother’s kitchen table. She drew myriad tiny circles and colored them every imaginable color and filled up the entire piece of paper, no matter how large or small! With a passion for color, patterns and textures, she now enjoys photography, quilting and beading. Her current challenge is learning to paint with acrylics and mixed media.
Judy is an active member of the Whatcom Art Guild and sells her jewelry and photographs at the Whatcom Art Market in Fairhaven. She takes a wide variety of art classes at Whatcom Community College and has shown her photographs at the Jansen Art Center in Lynden, WA., the Colophon Café, Hair Art Studio and Lairmont Manor’s Christmas Ball in Bellingham.
