Sheila Steinborn is an impressionistic oil and acrylic painter who specializes in western landscapes, sunsets and wildlife. Living in the West for 34 years, she now resides in Bellingham, WA. She interprets the beauty and majesty of the natural world to express her feelings about the moment and place. She often does plein air studies to interpret later into larger works. She is a Signature Member of the American Impressionist Society and a juried member of the Oil Painters of America.
American Artist Magazine introduced Sheila Steinborn to its readers by featuring her work in the September, 1989 issue. Since then her work has been featured in numerous publications and books and has been included in many corporate and private collections. Awards, invitationals, commissions, and major shows followed and a growing number of collectors have made her canvasses highly sought.
